the pack assemblages of silence

my work emerges where sober construction and unfiltered emotions collide i do not build sculptures i assemble witnesses like characters in a psychological novel filtering external noise until only a pure essence remains the result is a pack of creatures balancing between fossil and machine oppression and autonomy

the matter

working with the laws of matter i strip weathered materials moped helmets aged wood industrial felt and twisted steel of their original function cutting through books and objects i force them into a new unshakable hierarchy this sleek composition gives full scope to the drama of deformed and weathered material

the narrative

like characters in ancient epics my figures navigate a world of shifting masks rare latin phrases accompany the imagery revealing that underneath their structured exterior the witnesses harbor an unspoken truth about time and our own transience

the gaze

my universe thrives on a dirty aesthetic a clinical almost surgical approach to decay and survival that breathes in the shadow of rembrandt and the cold perfection of a vacuum though still they carry an inner tension that forces the viewer into a direct confrontation

thank you for viewing the work
